MANNING MY BOY UP

This evening we (sans Wilo) went to the Steelers vs. Redskins game. Last year, Eli became a Pittsburg Steelers fan, during the Superbowl. The rest of the family was rooting for the Skins, and he was going solo. He was so proud and thrilled the next morning when he found out his team had won.

Six months later, he still claims the Steelers as his team. So when I found out that they were going to be playing the Redskins, I knew I had to take him to a game. Marty very generously donated his tickets, so Rej and Jaelin could attend too.

It was so cute to watch his face during the game (that is in between the snacks, and bathroom breaks). He was so into it, and wanted to know a hundred questions.

Tonight was one of the moments I was really proud to be a dad. Taking my boy to an event that he was interested in. I didn't grow up with alot of 'special' dad and son time (unless you count shoveling horse manure into a Uhaul trailer...another post for another day). Needless to say, the game was very fulfilling.

So were the nachos.
